Ingredients
Full (16 scones)
- 3c flour
- 1/3c sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1-1/2 sticks of butter
- 1c liquid (milk)
- 1 egg
- vanilla
- add ins*
Half (8 scones)
- 1-1/2c flour
- 5 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1-1/2 tsp baking powder
- 6 tbsp butter
- liquid to combine
- 1 egg
- vanilla
- add ins*
Instructions
- Mix dry ingredients
- work in butter like pie crust
- add add ins
- add liquid until just combined, rest in fridge
- preheat to 400F
- flatten and fold
- form into one or two disks and cut each disk into 8 pieces
- bake for 12-15 min
- cover with a glaze if you like

you can also make 4 disks and do mini scones which is good for taking to a brunch or ladies meeting
